The CSIR Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Computer
Simulation (C-MMACS)
was established in 1988 to undertake major tasks in modelling and simulation in
selected scientific and engineering areas and to strengthen ongoing similar
activities in the CSIR laboratories.
C-MMACS has established a strong base of contemporary computing
facilities and has made significant contributions in the areas of
ocean/atmosphere modelling, GPS geodesy, nonlinear dynamical system theory and industrial computational
mechanics. C-MMACS is looking
for bright and highly motivated scientists and engineers to participate in its
R&D programme.

experience in the relevant field or Ph. D (Science) with not less than Ten years
experience in the relevant field.
Area of
Specialisation : Computer aided
drug design, molecular modelling and dynamics and computational
biology.
Desirable: Consistently good academic record, publications in reputed journals,
evidence of leadership in guiding scientific teams in the relevant
field.
Job
Requirements: To carry out research work
in molecular modelling and simulation, to build up a core team and develop the
infrastructural facilities, providing scientific leadership of high degree
throughout.

Conditions
1. These posts
carry usual allowances i.e., DA, HRA, CCA, TA etc. as admissible to the Central
Government employees in class 'A' city as applicable to
CSIR.

Other
benefits: In addition
to the emoluments indicated against each category, benefits such as GPF,
applicability of CCS (Pension) Rules, reimbursement of Medical Expenses,
Conveyance Advance and House Building Advance are available as per rules of
CSIR.
3. A Scientist can augment his income by earnings from consultancy/technical services and a share from the royalty/premia received from the licensing of intellectual property generated by him/his team through R&D at the Laboratory.

5. Candidates on appointment will have the opportunity to carry out PhD work with external registration and may be sponsored for doing ME/M Tech with study leave (wherever applicable).
7. The age should not exceed the limit indicated as on the closing date of receipt of completed application forms. Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC and by 3 years in the case of OBC candidates. Relaxation of upper age limit for Ex-servicemen as per rules.
8. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognised Universities/Institution.
9. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, where prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification for that Group/Grade.
10. Higher initial pay could be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates.
11. Applications not accompanied with prescribed fees and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
12. Applications from the candidates working in Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel and with a clear certificate that the applicant will be relieved within one month of receipt of appointment order, if selected.
13. The prescribed Essential
Qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle
candidates to be called for interview.
Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is
large, it will not be convenient or possible for the Laboratory to interview all
the candidates. The Laboratory may restrict the number of candidates for
interview to reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience
higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore,
mention all the qualification and experience in the relevant field over and
above the minimum qualifications prescribed.
14. Relaxation in age limit, educational qualification and/or experience will be considered only in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
15. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare/ordinary bus fare from the normal place of their residence or that declared in the application or from the actual place of undertaking the journey, whichever is nearer to the place of the interview as per rules.
16. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
17. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.

the prescribed format duly filled in and completed in all respects accompanied
by attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age,
educational qualifications, experience, etc mentioned in the application
together with an application fee of Rs.25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) (no
