CSIR Outreach Programme on Envirnoment and Climate(COPEC)

  • Empower and involve the University community in diagnostics, analysis and model development to enhance scope, feasibility and quality; selected university groups will be provided financial assistance (from Other Research Expenditures) for identified tasks.

  • Use the C-MMACS model outputs along with other relevant data to facilitate the university community in a resource-sharing environment.

  • Ensure objective evaluation of model simulations and uniform and consistent diagnostics

The organization of COPEC activity is presented schematically above.

COPEC will be implemented through a duly constituted Expert Committee which will advise on identification of relevant topics and competent groups. The Committee will be also involved in periodic review of progress by the participating university groups.
